Technical Director

Location: Seattle
Department: Technology

  VML is seeking an experienced Technical Director to provide leadership to our growing technical capability. This position requires endless passion for finding quality, innovation, leadership and problem solving. It asks that you interface with our clients at the highest levels to develop and implement technical strategy, insights and innovations. It asks that you lead a team of experienced, talented professionals through a complicated and ever-changing work environment. It asks that you lead our other agency disciplines through the twists and turns of enterprise software development projects. Most importantly, it asks that you join a technology leadership team that sets the direction for how we provide technical services and solutions to our clients.

Job Requirements:
·         Technical Experience and Background: candidates will have had previous exposure to and will have been deeply engaged in various stages of software methodologies. Have had experience performing in various roles throughout the SDLC (for example, Developer, Designer (BSA) or Tester). Having this experience provides the individual with a different vision into the necessities, complications and challenges and can define solutions enabling the teams to overcome these barriers to successfully deliver an engagement.
·         Strong Leadership Skills: candidates will have displayed strong leadership skills and have successfully performed leadership roles at the team and engagement level. They have provided guidance, suggestions and feedback to individuals, teams and clients to ensure successful delivery. This individual will have had specific experience leading technical resources and engagements.
·         Strong Communication Skills: candidates must have proven the ability to speak confidentially in various situations with the client, within VML technology and with fellow VML teams. They are comfortable speaking at an individual and group level. They have the ability to filter and present the appropriate information to the appropriate people at the right time. They can communicate positive and negative information efficiently, attempting to turn negatives into positives.
·         Strong Management Skills: these individuals have a proven track record in regard to managing workload, deliverables, schedules, etc., at both an individual and team level. They have the ability to get the right tasks in the right hands and see it through to completion.
·         Strong Decision-Making Skills: these individuals have the ability to make critical task, engagement and business decisions. They have the ability to identify and gather the appropriate information and facts to make these decisions. They have the ability to effectively communication the decision and support for their decision to the appropriate audience. They have the ability to make these decisions instantaneously when required to provide direction for a task or engagement
·         Education and Experience: prefer a bachelor’s degree appropriate to supported area or in computer science and 10 years’ experience or five years’ experience of project execution and management experience and well-developed client skills. Master’s degree is a plus.

Senior Account Manager

Location: New York City
Department: Account Management

 We’re looking for entrepreneurial, fearless candidates with at least three to six years experience managing digital marketing projects for our New York office.  Comfort with and passion for technology is required. We need a candidate who demonstrates initiative and drive and can lead projects with minimal oversight. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with experience launching integrated and interactive brand campaigns. This person will be client-facing almost immediately.

What we’re looking for:  


    - Three to six years of agency/and or client-side experience
    - Interactive experience necessary with significant knowledge of web development
    - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field
    - Must have the ability to work effectively with a variety of internal disciplines and business groups, including Account Management, Creative and Product Development teams in a fast-paced, flexible environment
    - Must be able to multi-task while handling multiple projects at once
    - Must be detail oriented, a strong communicator and effective presenter
    - Must be a team player with strong intrapersonal skills


Familiarity with online advertising is necessary. This candidate must be prepared for a fast-paced environment and comfortable making their own decisions. Organizational skills are imperative.

Group Planning Director

Location: Kansas City

  What we’re looking for:

  -          12-plus years overall marketing experience with at least six years of strategic leadership experience with clients
-          Proven ability to rapidly synthesize large quantities of information, identify critical observations and insights, and summarize driving implications and opportunities
-          Experience applying insight to marketing program development
-          Deep knowledge and experience with multi-channel marketing
-          Experience successfully bringing together people from different disciplines, internal and external, to achieve desired outcomes

Associate Creative Director

Location: Kansas City

 VML is on the hunt for an Associate Creative Director who has a background and knowledge of B2B direct response and email campaign experience to join our ever-growing team. This person will be responsible for the management of creative resources required to execute SAP demand generation campaign work. Assets delivered for each campaign typically include landing page flow, emails (inquiry, thank-you and rejuvenation), direct mail, telemarketing guide, telesales guide and campaign execution guide.

  What we’re looking for in the ideal Associate Creative Director:

  -      Five-plus years of writing experience; direct response and agency experience preferred
-       Knowledge of direct response campaign best practices
-       Experience in the development, evaluation and execution of direct response campaigns and creative briefs
-       Copy and creative layout are critical skills that are a must in this role
-       Strong interpersonal and client presentation skills are absolutely necessary
-       Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
-       Ability to lead by example and mentor younger creatives in their development

Web Analyst

Location: Chicago, IL
Department: Strategy & Innovation

  Description:   
The Web Analyst will ultimately be responsible for providing data-driven customer insights. This position will focus primarily on data querying, data integration, report generation and analysis. Ideally, the Web Analyst will have a sound understanding of multichannel marketing strategies and concepts, KPIs and statistics. This position is client-facing and work will be on-site with Gatorade.  

Key Accountabilities:
·         Provide and assist with the delivery of measurement and analytics services
·         Web analytics:  gather, integrate, analyze and report on-site and campaign performance using Web analytics tools and third-party data
·         Database marketing: assist with development of reports and presentation of advanced analytics

  QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, mathematics, statistic or related work

  • Minimum of one to two years related experience

  • Experience implementing and using tools such as Omniture, WebTrends, Coremetrics, Google Analytics, Yahoo! Web Analytics, etc.

  • Demonstrate experience in marketing campaign tracking and analysis

  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, etc.)

  • Experience with Access, SAS or SPSS is helpful

  • Excellent problem-solving and organization skills, and ability to multitask

  • Strong written and analytical skills

Senior User Experience Architect
