Quiznos

Helping people remember what a sandwich should be.
Before dollar menus and food by the foot, a sandwich wasn’t something you ate because you had to. You ate it because you wanted to. As Agency of Record for Quiznos, we’re responsible for creating 360-degree campaigns that help people remember where to go for an inspired meal.
Loneliest Lobster
Challenge
Figure out how to turn an everyday coupon for the Quiznos Lobster & Seafood Salad Sub into an engaging and buzz-worthy brand experience.
Idea
To honor the long-standing lobstering tradition of throwing back some of their catch — and keep our karma in check — the more lobster sandwiches people ate, the more lobsters we set free. Every coupon download, Facebook like and retweet from loneliestlobster.com helped add more lobsters to our live-streaming tank. At the end of the promotion, we followed through on our promise and delivered our new crustacean friends back to their home off the coast of Maine.
Results
The average viewer spent seven minutes watching live streaming lobsters. Total viewer minutes topped 1.2 million from ten different countries. And when it was all said and done, social interactions and coupon downloads topped 140 thousand.
Chicken Bacon Dipper
Challenge
Quiznos challenged VML to create a digitally driven campaign as unique and attention grabbing as the new Chicken Bacon Dipper Sub from Quiznos.
Idea
Of all the sandwiches and subs made for dipping, the Chicken Bacon Dipper is the only one dipped in a zesty side of cheese sauce. Add in the oven-roasted chicken, smokey bacon and chipotle jack bread, all toasted to perfection, and what you get is a sandwich so extraordinary, it deserves an extraordinary way to be eaten. So we created a digital campaign featuring YouTube videos and a microsite where quirky characters and Quiznos customers explored the many interesting ways to eat this one-of-a-kind sub.
Results
The campaign successfully positioned Quiznos’ New Chicken Bacon Dipper as a one-of-a-kind sub, garnering thousands of earned video views and press coverage from blogs and publications such as ABC News, Eater, Devour, Food Beast and Junk Food Betty.
