We believe in the Power of Breakfast

Kellogg’s celebrated National Breakfast Week March 4-10, shedding light on the surprising statistic that one in five children goes without breakfast every day. The Share Your Breakfast movement was created to counter this reality by asking people to share what they ate for breakfast on Kellogg’s site — and Kellogg’s in turn pledged to provide a breakfast to a child in need for every response.

VML embraced this initiative by heading to The Children’s Place to serve breakfast to more than 50 deserving Kansas City kids. VMLers donated dozens of boxes of Kellogg’s cereal to support the initiative. Each child was served a healthy breakfast with cereal, milk, juice and fruit, and provided a take-home bag that included a box of cereal and fruit to share with their families.

The initiative aligned with the national “Share Your Breakfast, Share Hope” campaign developed by VML. The initiative was developed to raise awareness for kids’ nutrition and the role breakfast plays. More than 26,000 breakfasts were shared online during the first two weeks of the campaign.
