VML is holding its 10th annual Foundation Day on Wednesday, Sept. 24. The agency is marking this anniversary by holding its first worldwide Foundation Day, with employees in nearly 20 international offices volunteering in their communities on the same day.

Giving back has been part of VML’s DNA since the agency opened its doors in 1992. The VML Foundation — an employee-funded and employee-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization — is the driving force behind VML’s community outreach program.

Kansas City’s inaugural Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption (DTFA) Kickball for a Home tournament was held recently. VML was honored to partner with the DTFA to host the kickball event, which raised $10,305 for the organization.

The second annual VML Day at the K took place this past weekend. VMLers and their friends and family enjoyed a tailgate and Royals baseball game at Kauffman Stadium. Funds raised from ticket sales benefitted the Head for the Cure Foundation, which supports brain cancer research and awareness.

VML Kansas City community partner Children's Mercy Hospital recently held a room dedication ceremony and reception to recognize the VML Foundation's longtime support of the hospital. The space honoring VML provides a fun, safe area for teens and is located on the hematology/oncology floor.

VML was proud to support the annual Shave to Save fundraising program for Kansas City’s Hope Lodge that was recently held. Hope Lodge is operated by the local chapter of the American Cancer Society. The theme of this year’s program was “Turning Ordinary People Into Heroes.”
