MATT ANTHONY NAMED ADVERTISING PROFESSIONAL OF THE YEAR

KANSAS CITY, MO (February 20, 2010) – VML, one of the largest digital marketing agencies in the U.S., was honored at the Kansas City ADDY Awards program on Saturday, February 20, 2010. Most notably, VML’s CEO Matt Anthony was named Advertising Professional of the Year.
Matt Anthony was recognized for his lifetime contributions to the advertising and marketing profession, including extensive industry experience, ongoing support of AAF-KC, far-reaching and proactive community support, and guidance and leadership to young people within our industry.
VML was recognized with a total of 24 ADDY Awards, representing work for multiple client partners. VML was honored with Gold ADDYs in the Interactive Media category for clients CenturyLink, ESPN, Hostess Brands, Kansas City Art Institute, LG (two Gold) and Office Depot. VML produced award-winning work in a wide range of sub-categories, including website development, product marketing, consumer Flash, consumer HTML, online services, and business-to-business marketing.
ADDYs were also awarded to Version, a VML agency, in the Interactive Media, Collateral and Direct Mail categories for Version client partners the Kansas City Royals and Mastic Home Exteriors. Version also received a nod in the self-promotion category for its work with Stueve Siegel Hanson.
Kansas City’s ADDY Awards is an American Advertising Federation program, with more entries submitted for Kansas City’s competition than any other AAF awards program. More than 850 Midwest advertising and marketing professionals attended the awards ceremony at the Downtown Marriott in Kansas City, Missouri.
