VML Earns Top 3 Spot on 2018 Ad Age A-List

VML has been named to the prestigious Advertising Age A-List that celebrates the Top 10 advertising agencies in the U.S.

The Ad Age A-List has celebrated the best agencies in the advertising and marketing business since the mid-1970s. Ad Age editors make their selections based on elements including creativity, financial performance, innovation and the ability to build client partner businesses. The franchise expanded in recent years to honor a broader range of shops and reflect changes in the marketing and media business.

In the magazine edition that included the Ad Age A-List, Global Chief Creative Officer Debbi Vandeven was featured in a story about the female leaders of Madison Avenue.

In 2017, VML celebrated its 25th anniversary and with the addition of Rockfish Digital, expanded to more than 3,000 employees in 33 offices across six continents.

The agency achieved its best year at the Cannes International Festival of Creativity with 27 Lions and 26 shortlist recognitions across 16 categories -- more than doubling its wins from the previous year. VML was named Cannes Entertainment Agency of the Year and ranked first in the PR category. In Entertainment, VML won six Lions, including gold in Talent: Film, Series & Audio for Absolut, leading Pernod Ricard to be recognized as one of the Top 10 brands in the Alcoholic Drinks category. In PR, #NuggsForCarter and Twitter Beef won six Lions, leading Wendy's to be listed in the Top 10 in the Retail & Restaurants category. VML's work for LEGOLAND Florida Resort resulted in the brand placing No. 2 in Travel, Transport and Tourism. In addition, VML was ranked in the Top 10 across a broad range of other categories including Cyber, Design, Entertainment, Entertainment Music and Mobile.

In 2017, VML also received the distinguished designation as one of two first-ever 3% Certified agencies, meeting 3%'s proprietary FORE standards: female leadership; opportunity for advancement; respectful depictions in work; and equality of work, wage and policies.
