VML South Africa rocks The Bookmarks 2018
VML South Africa continues on its upward trajectory following its launch into the market a few weeks ago, taking home 18 pixels at the annual Bookmark Awards. Earning a spot as the second biggest winner on the night, the agency won among others, two gold, four silver and two bronze awards for its internationally acclaimed Stop the Cycle campaign for Huffington Post SA.
With Stop the Cycle, The Huffington Post SA teamed up with VML South Africa to engineer an engaging way to highlight the increased socio-economic and environmental impact of consumerism and send a clear message to industries and manufacturers that need to be held accountable. By utilising Facebook's 360degree technology, the manufacturing cycle of three industry sectors namely Fashion, Mobile Communications and Chocolate were revealed.
VML South Africa also won across a myriad of categories for brands Nedbank, Nandos, Standard Bank, Edgars and Multiply - ranging from content strategy, mobile, media, native advertising, online video and augmented reality; demonstrating its ability to deliver a true full service offering that addresses the entire connected consumer experience.
"I am so proud of yet another successful year at Bookmarks. It's fantastic to see that our continued effort to raise the bar for ourselves and our clients is paying off. It's awesome to see our work winning across a diverse selection of categories, but also across multiple brands, clients and teams... resulting in total of 18 Bookmark Awards, including 3 co-credited wins with Joe Public, 2 Gold and 8 Silver for this year", adds Ryan McManus, VML South Africa Chief Creative Officer.
