In October 2016, the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau (GMCVB), the official sales and marketing organization promoting Miami and The Beaches as a premier tourism destination, named VML the new global marketing agency of record. VML won the business as a result of an extensive agency review process resulting in a four-year contract with an additional one year option. The partnership complements the GMCVB's global marketing network in fifty-two offices worldwide.
With record-breaking tourism figures including more than 15.5 million overnight visitors and an economic impact of $24.4 billion in 2015, tourism remains the number one economic driver in Miami and the Beaches. VML is tasked with driving incremental domestic and international visitors for vacation and meetings to Greater Miami by growing the brand globally. Services will include brand strategy, strategic planning, media planning and buying as well as creative development.
