As CEO Europe, Jon leads and focuses on the growth of VML London, as well as overseeing the agency's European operations and future expansion
Jon is based in VML's London office, where the team delivers groundbreaking work to a variety of clients including brands such as Colgate, the NBA, Ford Motors, Bridgestone and the International Olympic Committee. He is responsible for helping decide what's next for London's key clients, as well as forging new partnerships with some of the Europe's most ambitious brands.
Jon is one of the few people to have acted as CEO of both leading digital and advertising agencies. He was appointed CEO at Agency.com in 1999. He went on to found two of the UK’s leading digital agencies, Itraffic & Play, before selling Play to M&C Saatchi and being appointed Chief Digital Officer of the M&C Saatchi Group. Since then, he has worked as both Chief Innovation Officer and CEO of Y&R London and as a master class speaker for the internationally renowned digital educator Hyper Island.
Jon has led global marketing initiatives for brands including British Airways, the BBC, Heineken and the Premier League and is a regular contributor on advertising, media and culture to both trade and mainstream press. He studied English at King's College London and Education at Cambridge University.
