VML celebrated its commitment to creativity and inclusion at this year’s 72nd Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity through the achievements of its Young Lions competitors, participation in the See It Be It program, representation in the Cannes Can: Diversity Collective, and the selection of two individuals for the Cannes Creative Academy.
The Young Lions competition saw VML’s rising creatives tackle real-world challenges under tight deadlines, demonstrating innovative thinking and collaboration. Meanwhile, a VML team member’s selection for the See It Be It program underscored the agency’s focus on empowering women leaders in creativity. The involvement in the Cannes Can: Diversity Collective reinforced a commitment to increasing access and visibility for underrepresented talent, while the inclusion of two VML participants in the Cannes Creative Academy highlighted the agency’s investment in developing future creative leaders.
The Cannes Young Lions competition is an annual contest held as part of the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, which recognizes the next generation of leaders in advertising, marketing, and design. Competitors are typically under 30 and participate in teams of two across various categories like Print, Media, Digital, Film, and more. Local qualifying rounds are held to select national representatives, who then advance to compete globally at Cannes, vying for gold, silver, and bronze awards.
