Our one-year program (from September 2026) is designed for hands-on learning and development, blending comprehensive training with real-world client projects. You’ll rapidly develop into a specialist in your chosen field and a valued consultant.

Our e-commerce team is dedicated to boosting the complete online businesses. We work to optimize every aspect of our clients' online presence, from website performance and user experience to digital marketing strategies and sales growth.
As a trainee, you'll jump right in, learning alongside our experts. You'll help us analyze data, identify key areas for improvement, and assist in implementing solutions that drive real results. This includes supporting website audits, conducting market research, and getting hands-on with various e-commerce platforms and tools. It's an exciting opportunity to gain practical experience and kickstart your career in the dynamic world of e-commerce! At VML we don't just focus on one trick. We advise major brands like Praxis, Ahold, and Yakult on their complete digital strategy. We connect all the dots from SEO and paid advertising (SEA) to data analysis and content.
As a Catalyst, you won’t be fetching coffee. You will be sitting at the table with clients, analyzing what makes their online stores tick, and helping us build the perfect mix for their success.
What you will actually do:
- Analyze & optimize: Look at data to figure out why consumers buy (or don't buy) on our clients' platforms.
- Bridge the gap: Learn how SEO, SEA, CRM, and Content work together, and help coordinate projects across these disciplines.

In the Content Marketing team, we work closely with the SEO and Commerce Management team. Together we work on increasing both (organic) traffic towards our clients’ websites, as improving the quality of the platform. The Content Marketing team focusses on copy creation. We do this customer centric and based on data such as search data. We setup content strategies and efficiently use AI tooling in content creation processes. The team is client facing and consulting on organic and content results and activities.
Please note Dutch language capabilities are required for this role.

VML Netherlands' Data Science & Analytics team helps businesses make data‑driven decisions that lead to measurable growth. We turn complex data into actionable insights using advanced analytics and AI; improving marketing performance, forecasting demand, and personalizing customer experiences. As a Data Science Catalyst, you’ll work hands-on with tools like Google Cloud Platform, Databricks, Python and SQL. You’ll help build data products, models and dashboards that answer real business questions for our clients. You’ll also learn how to translate your analysis into clear, concrete recommendations that people can actually use. Our process includes building data strategies, developing tailored solutions, making sure they’re user-friendly, and continuously improving them. We also built a library of reusable building blocks to move faster from idea to working solution. The Product Management department at VML Netherlands operates at the intersection of business, technology, and customer experience, translating complex client challenges into actionable, scalable digital solutions. We are a client-facing team embedded within the Commerce domain, working closely with stakeholders across Data, UX, Engineering, Marketing and Delivery to drive end-to-end product outcomes.
Our core responsibility spans the full product lifecycle—from early discovery and problem framing to delivery and continuous optimization. We play a key role in shaping opportunities during the pre-sales and discovery phases, ensuring that client needs are clearly defined and aligned with measurable business value. This includes identifying growth levers in areas such as eCommerce, search & discovery, personalization, and AI-driven automation. The team combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution, supporting both innovation initiatives and large-scale implementations. We standardize ways of working to ensure consistency and scalability across projects, while continuously iterating based on performance data and user insights.
Ultimately, the department acts as a bridge between business ambition and technical execution—ensuring that digital products not only deliver functional value but also drive measurable commercial impact for our clients.

In the Paid Media team of VML Netherlands we help clients grow with digital advertising. We guide Paid Media strategy, develop and manage online marketing campaigns and accelerate business results in collaboration with the other teams at VML for clients.
As a Paid Media trainee, you will assist the team by setting up and optimizing online advertising campaigns in Google Ads, Meta Ads and Display Ads (DV360), getting hands-on experience from day one. But that’s not all, you will also:
- Create Advertising creatives for clients and advertising platforms
- Work with automation tools such as Channable and Smartly to scale and automate campaigns
- Report to clients on campaign performance
- Consult with clients, you will be trained in becoming client facing, consulting clients on Paid Marketing strategy and execution
- Collaborate with other teams, work with other capabilities (SEO, Content, Data) to deliver optimal result

The PXM team is focused to help clients winning on the digital shelf. Our team has a focus on improving everything around product data processes and increasing conversion by automating, facilitating and improving processes like creation, enrichment and syndication of product data to the different channels.
Our team is solution (PXM and DAM) oriented with a strong focus on business value, efficiency and growth. Our consultants are client facing, work in multifunctional teams including client team members, with engineers, architects and QA. On a daily basis they analyse and research client processes, they lead / attend workshops, they collaborate with engineers and architects to design solutions, the give demo’s, train users or support users in operating the solution.
Projects can have different objectives. We execute maturity assessments, where we check how prepared a client is to really win on the digital shelf, solution selections, to objectively choose the right solution for a client, discoveries to prepare an implementation, implementations and continuous improvement to configure and implement a solution at a client.
During your traineeship you will learn all the insides of PXM and how we work with our clients to help them grow.

At VML Netherlands, our SEO team helps brands grow their visibility in search, from Google to AI-driven platforms like ChatGPT. We work for national and international clients such as Etos, Praxis, Ford & Dyson, ensuring they are visible wherever people search for information, inspiration or products.
SEO today goes far beyond “ranking in Google.” We focus on the full search ecosystem: technical SEO, content strategy, authority building and the rapidly evolving landscape of AI search and Large Language Models (LLMs). This means we optimize not just for search engines, but also for how brands appear in AI-generated answers.
As an SEO trainee, you’ll be part of the SEO team with 10 specialists. You will collaborate closely with specialists in paid media, social, data, UX and development. Together, we build integrated strategies that directly impact business results.
What you’ll do during the traineeship:
During this 12-month traineeship, you’ll develop into an SEO consultant by combining structured training with hands-on client work. From day one, you’ll actively contribute to real projects.
