Bangkok, September 26, 2025 – As cyber threats increasingly infiltrate daily life, VML Thailand has partnered with Whoscall to create a powerful communication campaign that transforms the perspective of online protection from individual battles to the collective strength of community unity.
The campaign originated from insights into how public trust is being severely challenged by sophisticated scam tactics. Whoscall has positioned itself as a "Trust Enabler," driving brand strategy under the core concept "Together, Trust Grows Stronger."
To convey this vision, VML Thailand crafted a campaign that transforms the invisible "power of community protection" into clear, tangible imagery. This creative work emerged from collaboration with director Thay Littichai. The campaign is conveyed through a commercial film that uses "light" as a metaphor for exposing scammer threats and creating safety, drawing inspiration from historical practices where communities would light torches together to search for dangers in darkness. The more light there is, the safer the community becomes.
In today's context, the commercial tells its story through mobile phone flashlights that illuminate one by one as people begin signaling to each other, eventually becoming a light of cooperation and collective vigilance. This reflects the campaign concept that "when we work together, trust grows stronger." The piece also features the iconic Symphony No. 5 by Beethoven to enhance memorability and reflect universality.

Troubling Scam Landscape
According to the Whoscall Report 2025, scams have become a part of daily life in Thailand. Based on a survey of 1,000 Thai respondents, 72 percent were exposed to scams, 60 percent fell victim, and total losses exceeded 115 billion baht. These figures point to a national trust crisis in everyday communication.
Mr. Manwoo Joo, Chief Executive Officer of Gogolook (Thailand) said “These figures are not just statistics, they reflect broken trust in our digital lives. At Whoscall, we believe innovation matters only when it restores that trust. That is why our renewed mission is fostering trust and safety in Thai society through innovation and people power.
In Thailand, we are advancing this mission through three strategic pillars: upgrading Whoscall into a comprehensive digital protection platform, expanding a nationwide partnership ecosystem to strengthen safety, and fostering sustainable business growth. Together, we aim to empower communities, rebuild confidence, and create a safer digital future for all.”
Whoscall Upgrades Digital Protection Platform with New Features and Community Power
Among the strategic directions, the most immediate and visible transformation is the upgrade of Whoscall’s digital protection platform, enhanced with AI technology and powered by user participation. This upgrade focuses on three core dimensions: Protection, Community, and Innovation, each designed to make scam defense a natural part of everyday life.
For protection, Whoscall continues to strengthen its Caller ID while introducing the new iOS Live Caller ID Plus and an all-in-one Scam Check feature that allows users to instantly verify calls, messages, and links.
Additionally, the ID Security feature helps users verify whether their phone number or email has ever been leaked, empowering them to take proactive steps to protect themselves before falling victim to scams.
At the community core, Whoscall is committed to transforming users into true “defenders.” The scam reporting system is now enhanced with a Badge system designed to recognize and celebrate meaningful contributions, allowing users to clearly see the impact of their protection efforts. This recognition reinforces their role as trusted guardians of the digital community.
To make protection more engaging, Whoscall is also introducing Whoscall Missions where users can earn points from every interaction, whether it is daily check-ins, friend referrals, or other simple activities. These points can then be redeemed for exclusive partner rewards or Whoscall Premium as a token of appreciation for every action you take to help safeguard the community.
Through innovation, Whoscall is also launching Scam SOS, Voice Alert, and Scam Alert. These services combine AI-driven insights with active user participation to deliver timely protection and restore confidence in digital interactions.
AI Powered Defense with Community at Its Core
Behind these features lies Whoscall’s AI-powered defense system, enhanced with the Gemini model and ScamAdviser’s database of over 10 million suspicious websites. This powerful engine enables faster and more accurate scam prevention in real time, ensuring that every innovation is backed by robust intelligence at its core.
With this advanced technology, Whoscall can detect and block threats quickly and accurately in real time, enhancing the effectiveness of every feature designed for everyday use and ensuring all-round protection for users. This defense system relies not only on the power of AI but also on the active participation of real users in the community, who contribute by reporting threats and sharing information to build a genuine shield of protection for Thai society in the digital world.
Ms. Titinun Suttinaraphan, Global Marketing Director of Gogolook (Thailand) said “At Whoscall, we use AI to create smarter features that protect Thais from every type of scam and transform our app into a community-powered protection platform. Although scammers are also turning to AI to refine their tactics, we believe AI can and should be a force for good. Through the features we develop, we empower users to actively participate in scam prevention, making digital protection a shared responsibility. At Whoscall, we harness AI technology to develop intelligent features that protect Thais from every type of scam while elevating Whoscall into a community-powered protection platform. Today the trend is clearer than ever: AI alone is not enough. To truly safeguard people, we must combine the intelligence of AI with the collective strength of the community. This is what makes Whoscall different.”
“This transformation is not just about a new look. It extends across features, brand, concept and user experience, ensuring continuous development to provide the most comprehensive protection for Thais in the digital era. At the heart of Whoscall is the community. Every time we report a scam, we are not only protecting ourselves but also safeguarding society as a whole because each report has the power to save someone else.” Ms. Titinun added.
