Safety at Night

ADT, the long-standing leader in home security, is launching a new innovation designed to address a critical challenge: delayed emergency response times at night. The company’s new product, LifeLight, reimagines the iconic ADT yard sign, transforming it into a beacon for first responders.

Studies show that Americans feelings of safety at home are at an all-time low, and first responders are facing growing obstacles in reaching those in need, with a staggering 82% of reporting difficulty locating homes during emergencies, particularly at night.

When Every Second Counts

For generations, ADT has been the name people trust for home security. And for many, that trust starts with the sight of the blue ADT sign in their neighbor's yard – a visible reminder of safety and a deterrent to potential criminals.

ADT believes that “When Every Second Counts, Count on ADT.” That's why we're excited to announce a new innovation that builds upon the power of the ADT sign, transforming it from a symbol of security into a potential tool to help first responders arrive faster and keep people safer.

The new ADT Lifelight, wirelessly connected to a home's ADT security system via DECT and Z-Wave technology, illuminates the moment an emergency is detected. This creates a clear visual signal for first responders to pinpoint the home's location.

Currently in test market, LifeLight is set for a phased national rollout in August 2025.
