Who We Are:
At VML, we are a beacon of innovation and growth in an ever-evolving world. Our heritage is built upon a century of combined expertise, where creativity meets technology, and diverse perspectives ignite inspiration. With the merger of VMLY&R and Wunderman Thompson, we have forged a new path as a growth partner that is part creative agency, part consultancy, and part technology powerhouse.
Our global family now encompasses over 30,000 employees across 150+ offices in 64 markets, each contributing to a culture that values connection, belonging, and the power of differences. Our expertise spans the entire customer journey, offering deep insights in communications, commerce, consultancy, CRM, CX, data, production, and technology. We deliver end-to-end solutions that result in revolutionary work.
We are looking for a UX Designer to join our CX team and drive the design efforts for a leading financial institution in the region. You will be responsible for defining and creating intuitive user interfaces and seamless user experiences for one of our key client accounts. This is a hybrid role so you would be expected to define the wider experience as well as producing high fidelity visual outputs. You will be joining a CX team that boasts skills in strategy, research, and visual design, and is distributed across three countries. Our projects are diverse, and our clients span various sectors and geographies. Our vision is to expand our offering and team to solidify our presence, and this role will be pivotal to that success. The team currently addresses challenges across key pillars of Customer Experience: Audience Understanding & Insights, CX Strategy and Experience Design.
To be considered for this role you will have:
- At least three years of agency experience with a proven track record of working on large-scale projects in a collaborative manner.
- Experience designing digital experiences, including for Arabic audiences.
- Portfolio showcasing sketches, maps, diagrams, journeys, wireframes, and hi-fidelity UI.
- Proficiency in Figma and experience with both hi-fidelity and lo-fidelity prototyping.
- Expertise designing end-to-end, from research to hi-fidelity outputs.
- Ability to develop information architecture flows, user journeys, and other UX documentation.
- Experience working with comprehensive, documented, design systems, reusable component libraries, and implementing nested component architectures.
- Collaborated with development teams for seamless integration of design components.
- Excellent time-management and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- As comfortable using pen and paper, or documenting your work in Excel or Powerpoint, as you are in Figma.
You should be:
- Based in Beirut and a native Arabic speaker
- Willing to dedicate normal working hours (9-6) to VML, not in parallel with other working commitments.
- Willing to spend time in the office each week, although we do offer the opportunity of flexible working between the office and home.
- Able to visually and verbally communicate your ideas effectively to clients and colleagues alike
- Ability to present and defend designs to peers and executive-level stakeholders.
