The Opportunity: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Analytics Technical Specialist to join our Data Enablement Team. You will be instrumental in the technical implementation, management, and quality assurance of cutting-edge analytics platforms, with a strong focus on Tealium as well as the Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) and Customer Journey Analytics (CJA). This role requires deep expertise in tag management, data layer design, pixel tracking, server-side implementations and Web/Mobile SDKs, alongside rigorous analytics QA to ensure robust and accurate data collection that informs our customer engagement and marketing strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Tagging, Tag Management & Data Layer Design:
- Design, implement, and maintain comprehensive data collection strategies within Adobe Experience Platform.
- Manage and administer our Tealium and Adobe Experience Platform Tags (formerly Launch) instances, including the configuration of tags, triggers, and variables for various analytics, marketing, and advertising platforms.
- Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable data layer specifications across all digital properties (web, mobile apps) to ensure consistent and accurate data capture.
- Provide guidance and support to development teams on proper client-side and server-side (Event Forwarding) implementation and API integrations.
- Analytics Quality Assurance (QA):
- Develop and execute comprehensive analytics QA processes and test plans to validate data layer integrity, tag firing, and data accuracy within AEP and other analytics systems.
- Perform rigorous testing using debugger tools, network inspectors, and platform interfaces to identify, diagnose, and troubleshoot data collection issues.
- Collaborate closely with development, product, and QA teams to ensure timely resolution of identified data discrepancies.
- Document QA findings, test cases, and best practices.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Serve as a subject matter expert on analytics implementation, providing technical guidance and training to internal stakeholders.
- Work cross-functionally with product managers, developers, marketing teams, and other data teams to ensure seamless integration and utilization of analytics data.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our data governance, documentation, and analytics infrastructure.
Requirements:
- 3-5+ years of hands-on experience in digital analytics implementation, technical tag management, and data quality assurance.
- Proficiency with Tealium (iQ / EventStream) and/or Adobe Experience Platform Tags (formerly Launch).
- Proven experience implementing and validating data for Adobe Experience Platform (AEP), Customer Journey Analytics (CJA) and Adobe Analytics.
- Proven experience designing, implementing, and validating robust server-side tracking and API-based data ingestion.
- Demonstrated experience in analytics Quality Assurance (QA) methodologies, test plan creation, and using debugging tools (e.g., browser developer tools, Charles proxy, Omnibug).
- Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS for web analytics implementation, debugging, and custom scripting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
About the Data Enablement Team within ME&I: The Data Enablement Team is a critical function within our Marketing, Engagement & Insights (ME&I) department. We are the architects of our data foundation, responsible for ensuring the accuracy, accessibility, and utility of our marketing and customer data across all digital touchpoints. We empower data-driven decision-making by providing robust, reliable, and scalable analytics solutions. This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between business needs and the technical implementation of our analytics infrastructure.
