Established in 2022 and generously supported by WPP and VML, DES is where Detroit’s youth level up their potential in a professional agency environment.

DES offers an award-winning, free, 10-week immersive program where high school students learn by doing. Stepping into creative agency roles such as Project Management, Strategy, Analytics, Design, and Leadership roles students work together to create real-world solutions for real-world clients. Transportation, technology, meals, and a stipend are provided.

Beyond the core program, DES offers Detroit youth opportunities to enhance their creative skills, build a resume and a network, and unlock pathways to a future career.

What we stand on image
Being a peer mentor at Detroit Experience Studio during my senior year was an amazing experience. I loved collaborating with other creative minds like myself, sharing ideas, and helping others grow in their craft. It was inspiring to be surrounded by so much talent and passion, and it made my final year of high school even more meaningful.

Past clients
I’ll be honest, I was nervous, but DES doesn’t force you out of your comfort zone - It expands it. It makes you comfortable enough to talk to new people, speak in front of large groups, and not be afraid to throw out the first silly idea that comes to mind.
