The next-level comfort and convenient services expected of a luxury hotel stay are now made available on Airbnb. The company’s latest May launch introduced the ability to book personalized services that guests can take advantage of directly from the comfort of their rental home. This includes chef-crafted meals, catering, spa treatments, photography sessions and personal training lessons.

“People choose hotels for their services. People choose Airbnbs for the space,” Brian Chesky, Airbnb co-founder and CEO said in a release. “Now, we’re giving you the best of both worlds—amazing homes with services that make them even more special.” These services are tacked on to the experiences that Airbnb already offers: a slew of bespoke excursions and events that guests can book with locals in the area they want to visit. More than an app or place to stay, Airbnb is becoming “a platform, a community,” Chesky told Wired.

Technology has an even greater role to play in this next-level era of the concierge than the role of an app. Delta Concierge, a spotlight project from this year’s Consumer Electronics Show (CES), is a personal assistant making travel more convenient and personalized. Powered by AI, Delta Concierge considers each traveler’s preferences when formulating an itinerary or travel suggestions, crafted from Delta’s international database of travel insights. The service stood out at CES this year, convincing the show’s audiences that a “life concierge” might be just what travelers need to elevate their journeys and everyday experiences.

Travel isn’t the only time users can take advantage of these services. Perfect.Live is a smart luxury concierge app that allows people to easily plan events, treatments, and activities. Personalized trips, outlandish experiences, and assistance with even the most mundane, scheduled tasks allows users to explore life-enhancing activations without the stress that so often accompanies the planning process. The platform streamlines the scheduling process by highlighting only the most elevated travel, hospitality, and lifestyle services for a quick and easy booking, all in one place.

The global concierge services market reached $765.28 million in 2024 and is expected to increase to $1.24 billion by 2030, according to the latest report by Research and Markets. The study acknowledges growth drivers include AI-driven personalization, mobile app platforms, as well as increased demand for such services in urban areas. And at a time when VML’s Future 100: 2025 report reveals that 71% of people prefer to spend on experiences rather than things, perhaps it is time for all brands to consider integrating a concierge service.
