Fast Company has recognized “Absurd Promises” by VML Argentina for ASDRA as a category honoree in the Best World Changing Idea – Latin America.
This marks another proud moment for VML, following last year’s recognition of "Dogs Without Borders" by VML Health for SFBO on Fast Company’s 2024 World Changing Ideas List.
Now in its ninth year, the World Changing Ideas list honors businesses and organizations that pioneer creative solutions to today’s most pressing challenges, celebrating those driving meaningful change around the globe.
About the work

"Absurd Promises demonstrates the potential of AI when put in the service of people, and in this case, people with Down syndrome. ASDRA recognizes the VML agency team, who, once again, put their creativity and talent to work in favor of the disability community.” — Pedro Crespi, Executive Director, ASDRA
"Absurd Promises" advocates for people with Down syndrome by highlighting the need for legislative reform. In Argentina, individuals with this permanent genetic condition are required to renew their disability certificate annually due to an outdated law often ignored by politicians. During the live presidential debate, the campaign analyzed candidates' proposals and tweeted simplified alternatives in real time, tagging politicians to push for a fairer disability law.
