Brent grew up in South Africa before embarking on a journey through the UK, Europe, and—over the past 12 years—the United States. He joined Barrows 22 years ago as an account manager and became a partner ten years later. He led Barrows’ expansion into international markets and, together with his partners, sold part of the company to WPP, marrying entrepreneurial agility with global scale.

Today, he serves as CEO of WPP Commerce and Chief Commerce Officer at VML, while remaining Executive Chairman of Barrows. His leadership philosophy centers on empowering teams, fostering creativity, and delivering meaningful outcomes.

He's the husband of an incredible wife and a proud father to three daughters (ages 13, 12, and 7). Family “meetings” often involve color-coded chore charts and spontaneous living-room dance-offs. A love for the outdoors, adventure & travel, and anything to do with sports, with a hint of competitiveness.

Whether he’s steering global commerce strategies or refereeing sibling negotiations, his secret formula remains the same: people first, collaboration always, and never underestimate the power of a good laugh.
