Emily is an Executive Director, Strategy and Insights with more than 20 years of brand strategy and activation experience. She’s worked across a number of industries including B2B, financial services, consumer packaged goods, enterprise software, healthcare, medical technology, not-for-profit and retail. She’s spent her last 11 years with VML.

  Emily is a data nerd at heart. Her sharp analytical mind lights up when she dives in to a stack of reports or scours the web for the latest study. Her keen sense of observation springs into action when she conducts ethnographic research in consumers’ homes or shopping trips.  

Emily has led teams tackling business issues and developing brand strategy for companies including Thrivent Mutual Funds, City of Hope, Freddie Mac, United Rentals, SAP, NAPA Auto Parts, Resideo (formerly Honeywell Home), PepsiCo, MEDHOST, Phillips 66, American Century Investments, LPL Financial, Plante Moran and CITGO Petroleum. Emily’s work has been featured in Communication Arts and she was recognized as the 2012 Member of the Year by the American Advertising Federation of Kansas City.  

She earned BA in Strategic Communications at the University of Kansas. Outside the office, Emily serves on the Overland Park Kansas Comprehensive Plan Steering Committee. Emily also spends her time serving as the STEM ambassador for her daughter’s Girl Scout troop, doing jigsaw puzzles and gardening.
