Simona is Chief Creative Officer at VML in Germany.

The German speaking native Romanian ignited her passion for creating renowned work when she won a local challenge in Bucharest that allowed her to attend the Young Lions competition. In 2014 she joined McCann Worldgroup, where she achieved her first awards. Three years later, she was appointed as Executive Creative Director for digital-first agency MRM, developing ideas for global brands such as Coca-Cola, KFC, Lidl, Mastercard and Sanofi, as well as notable local brands such as Albalact and ROM Chocolate.

Simona's creative prowess has earned her a multitude of prestigious awards, including Cannes Lions, The One Show, New York Festivals, Eurobest, Golden Drum, and ADC Europe. Among her triumphs is the Gold Lion she secured for her work on Mastercard in 2021, as well as the Grand Global Effie for KFC. Her industry expertise has been recognized through her role as a jury member for renowned international competitions like D&AD, LIA Awards, New York Festivals, and Golden Drum, showcasing her expertise in the field.

With a strong believe that diversity is key to generate relevant work in the industry, she is confident that the blending of different backgrounds and life experiences is the secret for creating real impact through communication. In 2017 she founded a first of its kind kind women empowerment initiative in Romania for the advertising industry, called Lady Steps. Over the course of two years, she organized monthly events connecting female leaders from the communication industry and beyond with the new generation of women.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Simona embraces the role of being a loving mother to two young boys who continuously inspire her every day.
