Xbox Design Lab – Creating interactive, personalized commerce experiences through Adobe Commerce to turbo-charge engagement

To enhance the customization experience for its Xbox Wireless Controllers, Microsoft partnered with VML to relaunch Xbox Design Lab using Adobe Commerce. This globally accessible platform, available in 27 countries, leverages Adobe Commerce and innovative technologies like the Spectrum 3D customizer, enabling billions of design combinations for end users.
VML implemented a custom product type and inheritance structure within Adobe Commerce, and integrated the Digital River Commerce Connector for streamlined payment processing. A key feature is the Community Gallery, fostering a global community where users can share, like, and adapt controller designs.
Premium Chocolatier and Confectionery Brand Enhances E-commerce Performance with VML

VML is partnering with a premium chocolatier and confectionery brand who was experiencing inefficiencies across its channels, hindering its ability to connect effectively with customers and achieve growth. They sought a partner to help them succeed on their omnichannel journey and maximise opportunities by optimizing its e-commerce channels and leveraging its existing Adobe and related technology investments.
VML provided a strategic e-commerce assessment framework, auditing all of the brand's routes to market and identifying areas of opportunity and improvement. VML is currently focusing on D2C, with plans to address B2B in the future.
Following the go-ahead from the brand, as part of a 4-year programme, VML is working to introduce efficiency to the brand's legacy tech stack (Adobe / Magento), create architecture documentation, implement best practices across key areas, migrate all of the brand's Confluence data, and set up all development pipelines. Meaningful KPIs are also being established to track progress.
So far, key achievements include a successful transition period and the establishment of a strong foundation for future growth. The partnership is at an early stage of an exciting journey.
KFC – Showcasing the power of Adobe technology in transforming the customer journey.

KFC Malaysia, winner of the 2024 Adobe Experience Maker Disruptor award, partnered with VML to revamp its online ordering system using Adobe Commerce.
VML re-designed and re-platformed the experience across web, PWA, iOS, and Android apps, integrating over 700 restaurants nationwide. This Adobe-powered platform offers personalized experiences, localized promotions, and flexible delivery/pickup options, managing real-time inventory and supporting multiple payment gateways. The platform also facilitates targeted promotions, and gamification features to enhance customer engagement.
This digital transformation has yielded impressive results: six-figure order volumes during peak campaigns, nearly one million game plays, and high double-digit conversion rates on mobile apps. By leveraging Adobe Commerce and VML’s expertise, KFC Malaysia created a streamlined, personalized experience, strengthening its direct connection with customers and driving significant business growth.
