Job Summary:
The CRM Experience Developer specializes in building and optimizing email communications, mobile embedded web experiences, push and SMS notifications within the Braze customer engagement platform. This role combines technical expertise in email development with strategic understanding of cross-channel customer engagement. Working within our agency's marketing technology practice, you'll create sophisticated, personalized CRM experiences that drive measurable results for our enterprise clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain responsive, dynamic email templates using HTML, CSS, and Braze's Liquid templating language
- Develop and implement personalization strategies using Braze's Connected Content and API capabilities
- Configure and optimize email campaigns, canvases, and customer journeys within the Braze platform
- Collaborate with creative teams to translate designs into technically sound, responsive email templates
- Conduct thorough testing across email clients and devices using tools like Litmus or Email on Acid
- Maintain documentation of email templates, snippets, and best practices within Braze
- Partner with analytics teams to implement proper tracking and reporting parameters
- Support continuous improvement of build processes and automation opportunities
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in email development, with at least 1 year working specifically with Braze
- Strong hands-on coding skills in HTML and CSS, with particular focus on email rendering across clients
- Experience with Braze's Liquid templating language and Connected Content functionality
- Working knowledge of REST APIs and JSON
- Demonstrated experience with email testing platforms (Litmus, Email on Acid)
- Understanding of email deliverability best practices and anti-spam requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
- Braze Certified Marketer certification
- Experience with additional ESPs such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud or Adobe Campaign
- JavaScript/JSON experience for advanced Connected Content implementation
- Experience with Git version control and collaborative development workflows
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and implementation in email
- Experience with email automation and dynamic content optimization
- Agency experience working with enterprise clients
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or related field
