The Executive Producer is responsible for leadership and administration of the local production team.  They are responsible for leading all aspects of production, including identifying production partners,  timing, budget and sourcing of deliverables across a variety of accounts. It is imperative that this  individual has a great understanding of the creative deliverables across a multitude of mediums. They  must be a proven leader, demonstrating the ability to educate, problem solve and grow opportunities  within VML. 

The ideal candidate will be someone that can bring creative visions to life while elevating the work  through close collaboration with the creative team. Not only should the Executive Producer have  extensive production contacts, but they should be someone that grows relationships with outside  production partners, while ensuring VML production processes are in place and are having a  positive impact on the work. 

As an office lead for production, the Executive Producer will also be responsible for maintaining  regular communication and meetings that include producers and business affairs managers. This  includes providing regular support and supervision of producers in the office, and across the network.  The EP will maintain senior level contact with agency creative & client engagement. While the work  and clients locally will be the primary focus, the EP will work across offices as volume dictates and  report directly to the Head of Production. 

The Executive Producer should problem solve in a timely, cost effective manner. They should be able  to juggle a multitude of jobs at any time. Familiarity with the daily ebb and flow of an agency along  with the knowledge of how to best engage with the many alignment teams spread across several  offices throughout North America is imperative. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitors the scheduling of producers for all production activities in local market • Responsible for securing and onboarding any freelance producers as needed • Responds to requests for information and assistance from client engagement teams. Will also have exposure to the Integrated Production work queue and assign local production  accordingly
  • Collaborates with producers and creative staff to achieve company goals
  • Participates and supports new business efforts through handling booking and scheduling  production sessions
  • Work closely with designated alignment teams to establish annual scopes for clients that  captures both the volume and projected budgets for production
  • Leads the training and mentoring of new producers, as well as support their continued career  growth and development.
  • EP role is a working producer role and the EP will be expected to produce jobs as volume  dictates
  • Strong ties to the local production community
  • Ability to foster strong relationships with production partners, and participate in industry  organizations representing VMLY&R.
