VML Luxembourg is one of the leading Amazon consulting agencies in Europe. Offering 360° services for Amazon, we have a diverse range of products and services in various sectors to ensure long-term sales growth, ranging from creating multilingual content and listings to all aspects of advertising, including sales promotion, PPC and programmatic campaigns. We are part of WPP, the world’s largest digital media agency, and manage WPP’s European Center of Excellence for Amazon (ACE) dedicated to maximising performance, driving sales and building brands on the Amazon platform.
The opportunity:
We are seeking a Data Architect on a 6 month contract basis to design and govern data models, architecture, and flows that support enterprise-level applications and analytics initiatives. You’ll play a key role in shaping the data strategy for VML’s Commerce Studio rebuild—a major enterprise platform transformation underpinning content automation, AI-driven workflows, and global retailer integration (including WPP Open and Amazon). This is a rare opportunity to architect a critical data layer for a high-impact, high-visibility programme that’s redefining how brands operate across digital retail.
What you’ll be doing:
- Designing scalable data architectures aligned with business needs
- Defining data modeling standards and governance processes
- Collaborating with engineers, analysts, and architects to ensure robust and compliant data solutions
- Ensuring data security and privacy compliance (e.g. GDPR)
What we want from you:
- Extensive experience in data architecture or related fields
- Strong expertise in both relational and NoSQL databases
- Proficiency with data modeling tools (e.g., Erwin, dbt)
- Experience designing data pipelines and data lakes
- Fluency in English
If you have some of this, even better:
- Cloud experience (AWS, Azure, GCP data services)
- Familiarity with metadata management and MDM tools
- TOGAF or DAMA Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) certification
