YOUR ROLE IN A NUTSHELL

The Designer is responsible for working with the Creative Teams to bring ideas to life visually. You will join a high performing team, led by the Creative Director, who will be champions of your work and personal development. The work will be diverse, from branding and visual identity projects to advertising and packaging design.  

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

In order for our business to work, you will be required to spend time on certain areas of the business. Your key responsibilities are as follows:

  • Work on multiple design and technical initiatives.
  • Work closely with the account service and creative teams to understand the client's needs and visually elevate the brand.
  • Ensure integration of brand and design consistency on all projects.
  • Develop a deep knowledge of your clients' business and brand, including an understanding of their marketing challenges, business objectives and the role of ‘ideas’ in achieving those.
  • Responsible for the design of a diverse range of graphic, print, and digital media collateral. This includes in-store rollout shopper materials, on-pack design, storyboard design, and much more.
  • Pro-actively contribute to ideas and to the creative process.
  • Provide interactive initiatives amongst wider agency staff (you’ll be the bridge between creative and our design studio).
  • Report to the Creative Director and/or Art Director for design oversight on each brief.
  • Be deadline-oriented and have the ability to work at a fast pace.
  • Action design feedback promptly in line with the Design Leads' requests.
  • Skills in Finished Art and Retouching are a bonus.

 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/CAPABILITIES 

  • Proficient in Adobe Creative and Microsoft suites.
  • Strong understanding of print and digital design process and its required outputs.
  • Solid conceptual and design ability with comprehensive multimedia knowledge.
  • Excellent communication, prioritisation, and presentation skills.
  • Good understanding in new media design trends.
  • Strong project management skills in a fast-paced environment with multiple, changing priorities.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Able to ask strategic and logical questions to gain a full understanding of client needs and account service requests.
  • Ability to identify issues and make decisions accordingly
  • Ability to work independently and take the lead on more complex creative design projects/assignments.
  • Illustration skills are highly desired.

 

COMPETENCIES

  • 5 years as a conceptual Designer in Advertising, Marketing, Multimedia, or related field.
