About the Role:
VML is seeking a data-driven, results-oriented Marketing Performance & Insights Lead to join our extended marketing team. In this pivotal role, you’ll serve as the central authority on marketing performance data—consolidating insights across all channels and ensuring reporting is accurate, consistent, and actionable.
You’ll work cross-functionally with internal teams—including Media, Website, Digital, and Product Marketing—and partner closely with the Data & Analytics team. Your mission: align stakeholders around a single source of truth, drive clarity from complexity, and help focus efforts on what truly moves the needle.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Consolidation & Storytelling
- Aggregate, validate, and reconcile performance data from multiple sources (media, CRM, website, product campaigns, etc.).
- Deliver a unified view of marketing activity and present insights that inform decision-making.
Insight Generation
- Translate complex data into clear performance insights, trends, and campaign effectiveness reports.
- Identify inefficiencies, gaps, and opportunities within the funnel and customer journey.
Cross-Team Collaboration
- Act as the embedded data partner for the marketing team, working closely with:
- Consumer Banking Data & Analytics
- Paid Media and analytics partners
- Website analytics team
- Martech and CRM teams
Governance & Accountability
- Drive consistency in KPIs, measurement frameworks, and performance definitions across the marketing organization.
- Challenge assumptions and “gut-feel” conclusions with robust, data-driven evidence.
- Ensure teams stay focused on meaningful metrics, not vanity numbers.
Performance Reporting
- Build dashboards, scorecards, and ad hoc reports for leadership and campaign owners.
- Contribute to post-campaign evaluations, quarterly reviews, and business performance meetings.
Key Qualifications:
- 5+ years’ experience in marketing analytics, data insights, or performance reporting.
- Strong understanding of marketing KPIs across digital channels, CRM, media, and web.
- Proficiency with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and analytics platforms (e.g., GA4, Adobe Analytics, AppsFlyer).
- Solid grasp of attribution models, A/B testing, and conversion tracking.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills—able to challenge constructively and influence without direct authority.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and multiple data sources, with a relentless drive for clarity and accuracy.
What Success Looks Like:
- One reliable, trusted view of marketing performance.
- Campaigns optimized based on evidence—not assumptions.
- Leadership trusts the numbers and understands what’s working and why.
- The team focuses on impact, not just activity.
