Who we’re looking for:
VML is looking for a Project Manager to join our commerce team, where we bring creativity and technology together to build seamless consumer experiences that drive conversion. This individual will play a key role in supporting one of our largest global clients in the beverage space, helping deliver integrated, consumer-facing commerce initiatives across multiple channels. You’ll be a proactive problem-solver, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple moving parts while collaborating with internal teams and external partners. The ideal candidate can balance strategic execution with day-to-day project management, ensuring work is delivered on time, on budget, and aligned with client objectives.
What you’ll do:
Work | Support the delivery of high-quality, commerce-focused work across integrated campaigns. Manage the day-to-day execution of projects aimed at driving shopper experiences and consumer engagement. Track dependencies, flag potential risks, and work with senior team members to identify solutions. Assist in the development of project scopes, schedules, and documentation such as timelines, budgets, and Statements of Work—particularly in support of initiatives that span digital, retail, and eCommerce touchpoints.
People | Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including creative, production, strategy, and account management—to execute against Commerce priorities. Foster strong working relationships to keep teams aligned and projects moving forward. Partner with senior project managers or account leads to ensure client needs are met and expectations managed.
Process | Help implement and maintain project workflows and tools. Keep documentation up to date and ensure communication channels are clear and consistent across all Commerce workstreams. Actively participate in identifying and improving operational efficiencies that support speed-to-market and scalability.
Financials | Support budgeting and resourcing activities. Help track hours, reconcile project costs, and flag budget risks early. Work closely with project leadership to ensure financial visibility and accountability across projects driving commerce impact.
Who you are:
Organized & Proactive | You take initiative, are detail-oriented, and know how to keep tasks moving. You thrive in a structured environment but can also adapt quickly when plans shift—especially in a fast-evolving Commerce landscape.
Collaborative | You enjoy working with diverse teams and value open communication. You’re a team player who’s eager to learn and contribute to the success of your team and client.
Effective Communicator | You are comfortable leading status meetings, taking clear notes, and following up on action items. You know how to tailor your communication style based on the audience—from internal creative teams to client stakeholders.
Problem-Solver | You anticipate issues before they arise and come prepared with thoughtful solutions or questions to drive decisions that support business and commerce goals.
What you’ll need:
-
3–5 years of project management experience, preferably within an agency or fast-paced marketing environment.
-
Experience working on integrated marketing or advertising campaigns, ideally with exposure to commerce or shopper marketing initiatives.
-
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines.
-
Familiarity with shopper content, retailer marketing, or eCommerce activation is a plus.
-
Comfortable using project management tools and platforms (e.g., Smartsheet, Monday.com, Jira, Workday).
-
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams including creative, strategy, production, and account management.
-
A passion for the intersection of creativity, data, and technology in driving consumer purchase behavior.
-
Clear, confident communication skills with internal teams, vendors, and clients.
