What we are looking for:
VML is looking for a Client Finance Director supporting VML’s Medical Communications department.
What you’ll do:
- Manpower budgets, forecasts, actuals tracking and reporting
- Assisting Account Management with quarterly forecasts of manpower, scopes of work pricing
- Monthly tracking of actual time, out-of-pocket expenses and production costs
- Developing client-specific rate cards
- Assisting Account Management with billing, monitoring unbilled inventory and month-end revenue accruals
- Following-up on client receivables
- Year-end actualizations
- Represent agency in client finance meetings
- Contract compliance, including coordinator of any third-party audits
- Assisting VML Finance in month-end close, budget preparation and financial reporting for selected clients
- Acting as the main point of contact for ad hoc reporting for supporting Account Management, VMLY&R Finance and Executive Business Leads
- Report and reconcile revenue on a monthly basis
- Have knowledge of and abide by the terms of our client contracts
- Ensure SOX compliance with revenue recognition and itnernal controls for internal and external audits
- Developing client budgets/SOWs
What you’ll need:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong analytical skills
- Extremely detailed-oriented
- Exceptional client-facing and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently, remain organized and multi-task in fast-paced environment
- Must have excellent communication skills
- Ability to keep information confidential
- Ability to travel occasionally
- Prior experience working at a Pharma or MedComms agency is preferred
- 7-10 years of client finance experience
The base salary range for this position at the time of this posting is indicated below. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications.
