We are looking for a Senior Account Executive/Account Manager, responsible for establishing, maintaining, and growing strong external client relationships. You are expected to maintain a positive and prosperous working relationship with the client, growing and supporting potential opportunities within existing clients, creating client interest in new deliverables, and supporting with new business proposals. You will be key in supporting the team to translate the client’s vision into business requirements, reviewing team deliverables, providing strategic oversight, and bringing the right mix of agency capabilities to the forefront in response to briefs

What you’ll do

  • Play the role of the Single Point of Contact for client partners, supporting the creation and maintenance of account growth plans
  • Support the Associate Account Director and work with the Project Manger on day-to-day project management to ensure work efficiency and effectiveness
  • Assist to translate the client’s vision and needs into business requirements, coordinate with strategy, creative & project teams on required deliverables, and manage client expectations
  • Support building positive working relationships with seniors across portfolio to ensure that we can continue to grow our business and deliver
  • Generating revenue & profit targets as defined for accounts.
  • Manage multicultural projects, coordinate teams and clients; spot risks and issues, support resourcing, control the schedule and budget
  • Gain and maintain knowledge of clients’ business, industry and competitors
  • Up-selling and cross-selling consulting services within the client business
  • Obtain key client information and transfer accurately to project teams to ensure effective scoping of work.
  • Support new business opportunities from start to finish – putting tender submissions in place, driving proposals
  • Build financial management skills, including preparation of billing and monthly projections for review
  • Be a champion of the VML culture – honest, open, responsive, team-oriented
  • Be a role model for stewardship between the client and the agency by balancing the account’s needs with avoiding unnecessary expenditures and negotiation required costs.

  • Able to understand the business issues clients face in a variety of industries.
  • Possesses superior communication skills, both internal and client facing.
  • Has strong relationship management, organizational and project management skills.
  • Manages up and knows when to escalate internal and/or client concerns.
  • Able to work effectively with a variety of internal teams and business groups, including Creative, Media and Technical Delivery Specialists.
  • Able to identify opportunities for growth and incremental opportunities with client partners.
  • Has a strong interest in technology or digital marketing
  • Familiarity with ecommerce and online advertising is a plus.

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
  • 3 to 5 of full-time experience in digital marketing communications capacity with local and international clients
  • Agency experience would be desirable
  • Digital creative agency experience is preferred with strong integrated comms campaigns exposure in online/offline, social media and website
  • Demonstrated track record of client relationship development and service.
  • Must be proactive, a self-starter and an excellent communicator both verbal and written.
  • Ability to create coherent and persuasive presentations with proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in the hospitality industry and/or programmatic/media agencies preferred.
  • Possesses superior communication skills, both internal and client facing.
