The Role

We are seeking a hot-shot social media content lead to ideate, create, and curate truly social-first content that matches client business objectives and social audience behaviours.You’ll be an adept creative thinker, able to create at speed, and put yourself into the persona of the client’s brand.

You will embody the brand, deeply understand their audience, and work with others to lead creating all of their social content. This is true ownership of how a brand can come to life in social in ways that are innovative and engaging. So if you’re passionate about social media, know your CapCut from your Canva, and love social communities; we want to hear from you!

The VML Social team is growing and this opportunity is primed for someone that’s looking to make amazing social content, whilst learning and upskilling themselves with a team of specialists. We’re very fortunate to offer our clients the full range of social expertise, from influencer managers, social strategists, social account management, social data scientists, SEO experts, and of course…social content creators. 

 

Key Responsibilities

• Content Creation: Ideate, source, create, and curate social media content, working with internal and client teams to bring this to life at speed and at a high quality.
• Community: Identify and leverage insights from the brand’s audience as well as broader UK cultural contexts, to help inform content and community engagement recommendations that have deep relevance for the brand in social.
• Collaboration & Client: Build strong collaborative relationships with the wider VML social and creative teams, as well as engaging clients. To ensure that the content created is right for the brand as well as being great for the social audience being targeted.
• Presentation Skills: Present ideas and content internally and to clients in a clear, concise, and persuasive manner.
• Strategic Understanding: Be able to think like a brand as well as a person on social to create content that works for both
• Channel Understanding: Demonstrate a truly native and broad understanding of everything social from LinkedIn to TikTok.

 

The ideal candidate will

• Have a proven track record of creating content for big brands in social.
• Ideally possess expertise in social within the financial sector (or a regulatory similar sector).
• Be a highly collaborative team player, capable of building strong relationships with clients, internal teams, and external partners.
• Be a creative thinker with the ability to communicate your ideas in clear and inspiring ways for a broad audience.
• Be comfortable working in a dynamic environment and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Be passionate about ‘whats next’ in social, to stay ahead of the curve.
• Be a proactive and results-oriented individual with a strong work ethic and a commitment to excellence.

 

Qualifications & Experience

• Proven experience in social content creation, ideally within an agency.
• Strong understanding of social media, with a variety of social platforms.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience working on financial clients is highly beneficial although not essential.
• A degree of some sort will help us understand your background and point of view.
