Who we're looking for:
The Cluster Director serves as the primary contact for social strategy leads, responsible for overseeing and managing multi-market social toolkits. This role ensures alignment with overall channel strategy, oversees local implementation, facilitates decision-making and quality control, manages risks, engages with local client and cross-functional teams, tracks cultural trends, and oversees financial operations between WPP and TCCC. We are looking for someone with strong expertise in creating locally nuanced social content, fostering platform partnerships with multiple stakeholders and social platforms, and nurturing a high-performing team of analysts and community managers to drive impactful, culturally resonant campaigns.
What you'll be doing:
Strategic Leadership & Market Management
- Serve as main point of contact for SX Social Lead & IMX Social Lead for regional/market operations
- Act as primary liaison for StudioX Social Lead and Strategy Leads, driving growth and development of brand strategies within charters
- Lead local activations with deep understanding of campaign planning and execution
- Oversee and support delivery of market-relevant social strategies through local brand strategies and campaign briefs
Multi-Market Toolkit Management
- Own, plan, schedule, execute, manage and report on multi-market charter toolkit setup within designated cluster
- Work collaboratively with Social Category Director and Manager on toolkit development
- Drive decision-making around charters and ensure toolkits are implemented effectively
- Ensure key stakeholders are involved and consulted throughout the process
Team Leadership & Operations Management
- Provide leadership for cluster teams to ensure flawless daily operations
- Serve as flagbearer of teamwork integration and management
- Follow up on team deliverables and performance metrics
- Nurture high-performing teams of analysts and community managers
- Foster collaboration with 3rd party and influencer teams
Quality Control & Risk Management
- Check quality of social deliverables and manage production/approval of assets when relevant
- Manage risks and issues, escalating when necessary
- Ensure brand consistency and strategic alignment across all markets
- Maintain high standards for culturally resonant campaign execution
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
- Actively participate in relevant in-market meetings with local SX teams
- Lead client meetings and presentations from local perspective
- Explain campaign progress and performance to clients
- Foster platform partnerships with multiple stakeholders and social platforms
Cultural Intelligence & Trend Monitoring
- Keep up to date with cultural events, news stories, and social trends that may impact audience interaction with clients' brands
- Provide strategic recommendations based on cultural insights
- Focus particularly on Gen-Z engagement and TikTok platform dynamics
- Utilize social listening insights to inform strategic decisions
Financial Operations Management
- Oversee financial "market" operations between WPP and TCCC
- Manage budget allocation and financial reporting for cluster operations
- Ensure cost-effective execution of multi-market initiatives
Community Management & Social Listening
- Oversee community management strategies across markets
- Leverage social listening platforms to gather actionable insights
- Coordinate community engagement initiatives that drive brand affinity
What you'll need:
- Strong knowledge of social media platforms, with particular focus on TikTok and Gen-Z engagement
- Proficiency in social listening platforms (preferred)
- Experience with community management tools and strategies
- Understanding of digital agency operations and workflows
- Proven experience in team leadership and performance management
- Strong coordination and project management capabilities
- Experience working with digital agencies, account directors, and digital directors
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive integration
- Excellent presentation and client communication abilities
- Ability to translate global strategies into locally relevant executions
- Cultural sensitivity and trend identification capabilities
- Quality control and risk management experience
- Financial operations and budget management skills
- Experience working with third-party agencies and vendors
- Ability to foster platform partnerships and stakeholder relationships
- Influencer marketing coordination experience
