From improving sleep to upleveling gameplay, the brain has become the gateway for betterment.
CES 2026 had plenty of neurotech on display. South Korean health tech company, NeuroTx showcased WillSleep, which was acknowledged as an honoree at the Innovation Awards. The round, compact device is worn on the neck via a hydrogel patch and sends a gentle electrical signal which improves sleep quality through transcutaneous vagus nerve stimulation. WillSleep claims to be “the world’s first real-time biorhythm-based personalized stimulation” device, meaning it adheres to the user’s specific requirements for optimized sleep.
Another company focused on giving people better Zs is LumiMind’s which debuted its LumiSleep headband at CES, with live demonstrations that illustrated its effects in real-time. The device is integrated with Electroencephalogram (EEG) sensors that respond within milliseconds to generate personalized sound that guides the brain into a natural sleep state. In a release, Fang Zhao, CEO of LumiMind said, “with LumiSleep, we've created a significant breakthrough in sleep science and application by using modulation that allows anyone to achieve healthier sleep by recovering their brain's natural rhythms.”
While some lull the mind into a state of sleep, other neurotech companies are stimulating the brain to enhance performance. Nuromova AI and EEG sports headband was on display at the Venetian Expo’s Eureka Park, where startups contend for visibility and investment. Founded in 2024, the Nuromova N1 headband measures brainwaves duringsports activities and has been trained on athlete data. It is designed to track and coach athletes by showcasing real-time knowledge on their focus, stress, fatigue and emotional state, and translating it into actionable strategies to improve performance. A spokesperson at Nuromova told VML Intelligence that the headband is available for pre-purchase now, with an official launch slated for April this year.
Another headset making its way into the hands (or heads) of consumers comes in the shape of a new gaming headset integrated with neurotechnology by Neurable. Working with HP’s HyperX gaming brand, the collaboration aims to bring AI and neuroscience together to help uplevel player performance, focus and accuracy.
Move over Neuralink, the neurotechnology space is diversifying and companies are opting for non-invasive devices that can be worn rather than implanted. The brain is providing the ultimate path to better health and performance.
