On November 24th, VML Enterprise Solutions in Poznań welcomed Dr. Daniel Hulme, Chief AI Officer at WPP and CEO of Satalia, as the keynote guest for the latest Insights series, co-hosted with the Poznański Horyzont Danych meetup. Before captivating the audience at the main meetup, Dr. Daniel Hulme made a special stop at the VML office in Poznań, delivering an exclusive presentation and sparking a dynamic discussion with the team.

Over 80 participants filled the lecture hall at the Poznań University of Technology to engage with some of today’s most pressing questions around artificial intelligence. Dr. Hulme opened the evening with his keynote, “Rethinking AI and how Agents Impact Business and Humanity.” Instead of focusing strictly on technology, he urged the audience to see AI through the lens of everyday challenges - automation, creative processes, and complex decision-making.

I want us to look at the future of AI with optimism, not just through the lens of risks. I believe that with wise use of technology, we can unlock human creativity and build solutions that make a real difference.

He emphasized that the most successful organizations in the AI era will be those that combine technology with creativity and a sense of purpose.

It’s not enough to have a strong, profitable business - today, you need a real sense of purpose. That’s what attracts people to your company, and soon even AI systems will prefer brands that live their values.

Daniel also introduced the idea of “protopia”- a future where progress comes through steady, incremental improvements rather than radical disruption.

After the keynote, Anna Proch moderated a lively panel discussion, “How AI Is Changing Everything,” with Dr. Hulme, Kacper Łodzikowski (Head of AI at Pearson), and Prof. Mikołaj Morzy (Dean of the Faculty of Computing, Poznań University of Technology). The panel touched on everything from social and economic changes to what skills will matter most in the workplace of tomorrow.

The evening wrapped up with conversations, new connections, and - true to tradition - networking over pizza.
