Héctor Fernández is well-known in the industry for helping build iconic brands and creating award-winning campaigns. His work has received more than 500 awards over the past 25 years.

Fernández moved to VMLY&R on February, 2016. One year later, the agency was named Agency of the Year twice.

During the previous six years, he was Co-General Manager and Executive Creative Director of Publicis Mexico. During that time, Publicis Mexico won more awards than in its last 20 years, winning Agency of the Year in the Mexican Creative Club for three consecutive years.

Before his role at Publicis Mexico, Fernández worked at BBDO Mexico for 15 years, and he helped take the agency from number fourteen to number five, making it the country's most successful and award-winning company in the country with their first Cannes Lion and One Show Pencils.

He speaks Spanish, English and French.

He has more than 20 years of experience in many industries, in which he has worked for VW, Walmart, Danone, Bimbo, Telefonica, Chrysler Dodge, Jeep, Mitsubishi, Martell, Ballantine's, and Ray-Ban, among others.
