During Accessibility Week, we introduced the MONSTER CHAIR, a striking wheelchair with oversized wheels designed to spotlight the ongoing problem of cars blocking ramps in Argentina.

While thousands of people with disabilities fight every day for the right to move freely, a single improperly parked vehicle can turn an everyday journey into an impossible obstacle.

This situation limits independence and forces people to seek alternative routes, becoming the driving force behind this disruptive campaign.

“To highlight this issue, we came up with a solution that is as absurd as it is necessary: to create a chair that people with disabilities would need to use in order to get over ramps when they are blocked by cars,” said Jean Maggi, President of Fundación Jean Maggi, emphasizing that cars blocking ramp is one of the most frequent violations—yet, unfortunately, one of the least visible and least reported.

The MONSTER CHAIR was designed as an exhibition piece to raise awareness about the reality we live in.

Inspired by monster vehicles, this wheelchair is capable of climbing onto sidewalks and overcoming any obstacle that prevents people with disabilities from moving freely.

The MONSTER CHAIR has already begun its awareness journey, generating significant public attention.

Its mission is to travel across the country and place the urgent need to guarantee the right to mobility for all at the center of the public agenda.
