A new quest begins in Savoria. Play as redheaded warrior Wendy, battle evil mech-monsters, solve tasty puzzles, and search for Corner Stones that could unlock Wendy’s food.
Wendy’s is no stranger to gaming. We’ve smashed freezers in Fortnite. We’ve built custom maps in Meccha Chameleon. But WendyQuest is next level. Billions of lines of code, a thousand lines of dialogue, and a rich lore-filled story that’ll take you a lot of hours and burgers to get through. All human-made. No AI. That’s where we excel: bringing the same quality and craft to our experiences as we do to our menu. Whether it’s an Emo Album or an 8-bit battle to save Savoria. We want time spent with all things Wendy’s to be very worth your time. Wielding a weaponized spatula is just a bonus.
Wendy’s set out to take its nearly decade-long relationship with gaming a step further: creating a complete, hand-built RPG that players could explore and enjoy as a legitimate game.
Wendy’s gaming journey includes Feast of Legends, the tabletop RPG created with VML in 2019; gaming activations in Fortnite; streamed gameplay; and Burger Time, a playable retro game on Wendy’s 404 page.
Wendy’s and VML partnered with indie game studio 81 Monkeys to build WendyQuest from scratch: a 2D, 8-bit-inspired RPG starring Wendy. Players explore Savoria, battle mech-monsters, take on quests, and solve puzzles. Hidden throughout the game are Corner Stones, which give players a chance to unlock Wendy’s food with a promo code they can copy into the Wendy’s app.
WendyQuest features 15 hours of gameplay, more than 1,000 lines of dialogue, and more than a billion lines of code. It is available on Steam, iOS, and Android.
The game is the latest and most ambitious chapter in Wendy’s nearly decade-long relationship with gaming. Its Corner Stone rewards give players a chance to earn real Wendy’s food by interacting with the game.
