They say you can't put a price on life's most precious moments. But for White Friday, Amazon did exactly that. By hijacking overly emotional, cinematic advertising tropes and abruptly interrupting them with unbeatable deals.

White Friday is the MENA region’s biggest, loudest shopping event. Consumers are relentlessly bombarded with aggressive discounts, flashing graphics, and shouting retail ads. Amazon needed to cut through this chaotic sea of sameness. We had to ensure our deals were unmissable and memorable, driving massive sales volume while building brand affinity in a space dominated by functional, forgettable advertising.
Advertising is obsessed with overly emotional portrayals of "priceless" moments. But the truth is, the items that actually make those moments happen, like the perfect gift, the new TV, or the camera, all have a price tag. We saw an opportunity to hijack this sentimental ad format, using it as a Trojan horse to deliver a hard-hitting, heavily discounted retail message in a totally unexpected way.
"You Can't Put a Price on Moments." We created films crafted as high-end, emotional brand commercials showcasing touching life events. We let them play out, just long enough for the audience to forget they were watching an ad. Then, just as the emotion peaked, we abruptly interrupted the scene to reveal the exact, discounted price of the Amazon product, bringing the price to the priceless.
The campaign successfully broke through the intense White Friday clutter, perfectly balancing emotional storytelling with sharp retail urgency. This approach led to massive engagement, driving an unprecedented surge in site traffic. By flipping the script on traditional retail ads, Amazon achieved record-breaking White Friday sales across the MENA region, cementing its status as the ultimate destination for unbeatable deals.
