VML's global network received a trio of prestigious honors this week, being recognized by Fast Company, Campaign Brief, and the Gerety Awards. The agency continues to demonstrate how blending creativity, innovation, and cultural insight delivers human-first work that resonates.
Fast Company: No. 3 on 100 Best Workplaces for Innovators
Fast Company named VML the No. 3 company on its seventh annual 100 Best Workplaces for Innovators list, which celebrates organizations that embed innovation across every level. VML earned its spot by fostering a culture that empowers employees to solve real-world challenges through creativity and technology. Notable projects include:
- SupportBelt: Developed with Ford, this seat belt accessory improves comfort for breast cancer survivors, addressing an often-overlooked challenge. The product launched during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, sold out within 36 hours, and earned national media coverage, along with a 96% positive sentiment on social channels.
- Copper Skin: In collaboration with Movistar Colombia, VML repurposed outdated copper cables into protective garments for children with Butterfly Skin disease, improving mobility by 70% and advancing sustainable innovation.
- The Outside Book: Designed for Fruittella, this sunlight-activated children's book encourages outdoor play and exploration, achieving over 300 million impressions and 257% higher engagement than benchmarks.
The agency's innovation is fueled by maximizing WPP Open, a proprietary AI-powered marketing operating system, and programs like Open Everydai that help teams apply emerging technologies and tools in transformative ways. As well, agency initiatives such as THRIVE career development, mentorship, wellness days, and Employee Resource Groups ensure employees feel supported to experiment, collaborate, and push boundaries.
Campaign Brief: APAC Network of the Year
VML has been named APAC Network of the Year in Campaign Brief's The Work 2025, climbing from its No. 3 ranking in 2024 to claim the top spot with a commanding 148 Acceptances. VML's presence across the region was underscored by agency-level wins: ranked No. 1 in Australia, New Zealand, and Singapore, and No. 2 in Thailand.
The recognition also reflected a series of standout market performances. VML Australia (35 Acceptances) and VML Thailand (34) ranked No. 4 and No. 5 respectively in the APAC agency table. Rounding out the success, VML Taiwan (10), VML Malaysia (6), and VML Indonesia (5) made their mark as well.

Adding to this success, Scholz & Friends, a VML company based in Germany, was named Global Agency of the Year. This recognition highlights the strength of VML's agencies across markets, underscoring the network's ability to consistently deliver creativity that resonates on a global scale.
